Therapy for Children and Young People

We provide specialist psychological support for children, teenagers, and young adults who may be struggling with their mental health, emotions, or relationships. Our therapists have extensive experience working with young people and are trained to provide age-appropriate, evidence-based interventions in a safe and supportive environment.

We work with a wide range of difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety and phobias

  • Low mood and depression

  • Self-esteem and confidence issues

  • School-related stress or bullying

  • Emotional regulation difficulties

  • Family or parental separation

  • Trauma and loss

  • Gender, identity, and self-exploration

Children and adolescents often express their distress differently from adults. Our team understands these developmental differences and uses a range of approaches, including play-based therapy, creative expression, CBT, and person-centred therapy, to help young people make sense of their emotions and feel heard.

We work closely with parents and carers when appropriate, offering guidance and support to help you understand your child’s needs and how best to support them outside the therapy room.

Supporting Young People Through Life’s Challenges

Whether your child is dealing with a specific issue or simply finding life a bit overwhelming, therapy can be a valuable space for them to explore their feelings, build resilience, and develop coping skills.

We offer therapy for children and teens in Aberdeen.  Get in touch to learn more or to book an initial consultation.
